General Rentals - The North Parish Church of North Andover

North Parish as seen across the roundabout, set against stormy skies The North Parish has a long history as a center of community activity. Located prominently in the Old Center of North Andover, we offer several different spaces for rental by church members, community groups, and private individuals – whether it be for a one-time celebration or event or a recurring meeting or activity.

View from the back of the sanctuary Our historic sanctuary seats 276 in the pews. The space includes a Hook and Hastings organ and a 6’ grand piano. A sound system provides amplification for both speakers and performers. Except for the antique pulpit at the back wall, all elements are moveable and, except for the piano, removable – providing many flexible options for use of the space.

The sanctuary is not air-conditioned; windows can be opened.

A reception in the Parish Hall Freeman Hall is located on the ground floor beneath the Sanctuary and is accessed by stairs, the elevator, and exterior doorway from Great Pond Road. Table and chair storage, a commercial quality kitchen, and restrooms are nearby.

The space also includes a small Parlor with sofas, a long dining table, and chairs. A long alcove on one side can also be available for special use, for example, food tables.

Seating capacity is 60-125 depending on the arrangement of tables and chairs and other elements in the space.

Freeman Hall and the Parlor are not air-conditioned; the Parlor has transom windows that can be opened; the Hall has two exterior doors.

The Blue Room for classes and meetings This mid-size classroom is ideal for small meetings or staging space for an event. Seating capacity is 15-18. The room contains two moveable tables and a whiteboard.

The room is air-conditioned and has windows that can be opened. It is accessible through the Garden Door and has access to other spaces by stairs or elevator. Gender-neutral restrooms are located on the same floor.

The Flex Room is located on the first floor, adjacent to the church offices. Seating capacity is approximately 30, depending on the arrangement of tables and chairs. The space is also suitable for a small exercise, dance or art class. The room can be divided by a folding wall – shown here is one half of the room. It is accessed by stairs, elevator, and an exterior door to the lower gardens and yard.

The Flex Room is air-conditioned and has windows that can be opened. Restrooms are located on both the Parish Hall and Chapel levels, accessed by stairs or the elevator.

Rental process

What are the rental fees?

Rental fees are based on the size of the space, the length of the rental (one-time or ongoing), the renter (church member, non-profit, small business), and any special needs.

There is no fee for church-related activities such as committee meetings, youth group activities, choir practice, community action initiatives such as food drives, etc.

Building Use Agreement – This document provides the “who, what, when, and how” details for your event. It specifies the responsibilities, terms, and conditions for the use of our space for all groups or private individuals.
Room Setup Request – For those requesting the services of our sexton to prepare the room (set up tables, chairs, etc.)

Food and Beverage Service – For anyone serving food at events held in our building

Offsite Food Prep – For those who are preparing foods for a potluck or other church events

Onsite Food Prep – For those preparing foods in the North Parish kitchen

How do I make a space reservation?

Check our Calendar Events listings to see if the time you want appears to be available (use the Month filter to see a calendar view).
If you have not seen our facilities, email or call our office to make arrangements to preview the space you wish to reserve.
Complete the online Rentals Request Quote. Our Congregation Administrator will be back in touch with you to discuss details.
Once your request is approved, you will be asked to complete a Building Use Agreement form and return it, along with your deposit check, to the church office: North Parish Church, 190 Academy Rd, North Andover MA 01845. Our Rentals Coordinator will contact you to confirm your reservation and provide any additional information you will need.
