Join the Racial Justice Team on Tuesday, January 14th at 3pm for a staff-led tour of this exhibition which celebrates a reverence for nature while engaging crucial questions about land dispossession and its reclamation by Indigenous peoples and nations and exploring the relationship between Indigenous art and American art history, placing landscape paintings by contemporary Cherokee artist Kay WalkingStick in conversation with those of the 19th-century Hudson River School. The museum and tour are free of charge. Attendees are invited to continue on to dinner and conversation at El Taller/Café Azteca (pay as you go) at 275 Essex St. in Lawrence.
