The Hebrew Bible holds many stories about times of immorality and corruption when prophets arose to name and rail against the injustices of society and point a new way forward. The sermon will revisit some of the words and ideas of several modern prophets that Rev. Bluemel has shared over the past year. The service will highlight the original music of Aaron Pawelek and end with a party to celebrate our Religious

Ritual: Flower Communion—bring a flower (or a few) to share if you can!
After Service: Second Sunday Potluck (with Garlic Breath Pizza provided) and Soul Circle Singing in the Chapel at 11:30. All are welcome!

Our cup overflows on this special Sunday. We will recognize lay leaders for the coming year, celebrate all who have participated in the congregation’s ministries, and reflect on the importance of community, spiritual companions, and each person’s unique gifts.

Join us as we celebrate the life-giving power of the sun and the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Marking the astronomical beginning of summer, this service will invite reflection, joy, and—appropriately—plenty of singing.

Please note: The Nursery will be closed for the summer and childrens’/ youth Religious Education will be on break for three months, until September 13th.

Help out with our children and youth programs

North Parish runs cooperative programs to fulfill our mission of UU faith development for children and youth. Parents and non-parents are part of this ministry in a variety of roles. Volunteers are also needed for a variety of roles outside the Sunday morning classroom, including planning roles on the Youth Adult Team or Elementary RE Team, and as companions to youth as COA mentors or coordinators. For those roles, please email our Director of Family Religious Education.
